Lankamalleswara Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary is located at Cuddapah district. Its total area is 464 sq km. Dry deciduous mixed thorn forest with deep gorges and steep slopes. Red sanders, an endemic species is found in this area. Animals found are Panther, Sloth bear, Cheetal, Sambar, Chowsingha, Chinkara, Nilgai, Wild boar and Fox. This sanctuary is the habit at for the rare and endangered bird called Double banded or the Jerdon’s Courser. Accommodation is available at Siddavatam and Cuddapah Forest rest houses. Best season to visit October to March.

Road: 15 km by road from Cuddapah railway station.
