Introduction:

Bihar has an ancient history that flourished during the 6th century BC. It is birthplace of Lord Mahavira. The place is also the favorite resting place of Lord Buddha. Bihar is located in the eastern region of India.Till 1911 the state was the part of the Bengal presidency & in 1936, it was given status an independent province of India. The state offers plenty of tourist destinations of different interests. Around 15.3%, of the state is covered by dense forest. Many forest in this region, as it was known in the Vedic times. Bihar has, in total, three National Parks, eighteen wildlife sanctuaries, and two Tiger Project. Apart from wildlife, ancient temples, waterfalls, monasteries, rivers, hill resorts and many other beautiful things flourish Bihar. Bihar has also an ancient ethnic culture. People from the North and Central Bihar are Aryans who came from Central Asia. All these things makes Bihar an enchanting tourist spot in India.

Getting There:

Air: Bihar has two airports at Patna and Ranchi connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Calcutta, as well as Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

Rail: Bihar has a well-developed railway network. It is connected to all the major & minor cities of India by regular trains. Major railway stations like Patna, Dhanbad, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, and Ranchi.

Road: There is good road network connecting all the major parts with Patna, the state capital. National Highways like 2, 23, 28, 30, 31, and 33 connect the state to places all over India.
