Veeranga Durgawati Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is situated in the year 1997. Its total area is 24 sq. km. Here Tiger, Panther, Spotted deer,Sambhar, Four horned antelope (Chousingha), Wild boar, Blue bull, Barking deer etc. Birds- Bhat- Titar, Batter, Peacock, Lavika, spur fowl, Snipe, Pin tail, Hariyal, Fakhta, Kala Hans, Bar headed goose, Pochai, Dotted Snake Bird etc. are the Principal Fauna and Tinsa, Dhawda, Saja, Tendu, Teak, Bija Baheda, Aonla, Palas, Jamun etc. are the Principal Flora. Personal Petrol Jeep / Car or hired from Travel Agencies is the means of travelling inside the area. Damoh(Forest Rest House) is suitable for accommodation. Bhairhaghat, Nauradehi WLS, Singourgarh Fort, Kundalpur, Nohleshwar Temple are the nearby spots. Some Religious Tourist Spots, Fair Places and Ancient Temples here are Singourgarh Fort, Battlefield of Sangram Shah and The famous Nohleshwar Shiv Temple. Best season to visit the place is from November to June.

Narsinghgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in the year 1974. Its area is 57 sq. km. Here Chital. Sambhar, Blue Bull, Leopard, Wild Boar, Bhedki, Crocodile etc. various kinds of birds are the Principal Fauna and Teak, Saja, Dhawda, Khair, Bhaeda,. Kronda, Lendia, Arjun, Chandan etc. are the Principal Flora Self owned four wheeler Petrol Vehicle are the means of travelling inside the area but they must not be older than five years. The Forest Rest House, Narsinghgarh is available for accommodation. Best Season to visit is November to June. Some nearby tourists’ spots are Sanchi Bheem-baithika, Bhojpur and Bhopal. There are many rock shelters in the sanctuary area where wall painting may be seen in the red and white colour. Narsinghgarh Fort, Bada Mahadev. Chhota Mahadev, Haji Wali Dargah, Soulah Khamb etc are some religious spots.

Van Vihar National Park

The total area of the park is 4.45 sq. km. It was established in the year of 1981. The Park area was a hunting place of the old Gwalior. In the Central region of the Park “George Castle’ is situated. The Castle was constructed at the highest point of the Park for the King George the Fifth for hunting purpose. Here the principal Faunas are Tiger, White Tiger, Leopard, Sambhar, Cheetal, Blue bull, Four horned Antelope, Chinkra, Black Buck, Wild boar, Alligator, Porcupine, Wolf Bear, Monkey etc. and the principal Floras are Dhawada, Babul, Tamarind, Bel, High beguine, Bamboo etc. Means of travelling inside the area are self-owned two-wheeler or four wheeler vehicles. Nearby some travel spots are Bharay Bhawan, Boat Club, Anthropological Museum, Kerwa Dam, Birla Mandir, Taj-Ul-Masajid, and The Big Lake of Bhopal. Some nearby religious spots are Birla Mandir, Cave Mandir and Shiv Mandir of Bhojpur. Fairs are organised in the Cave Temple and Bhojpur Temple on Makar Sankranti and Shivratri. On Janam Ashtami fair is organised in Birla Mandir. Throughout the year is the best season.

Kuno Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in 1981. Its total area is 345 sq. km. Principal Faunas such as Blue bull, chital,chinkra,Leopard,Tiger, Sambhar,Bear etc. are found here. Principal Floras such as Karghai, Gurjan, Bair, Roja, Khair, Ghot, Palash, Dhawada, Salai, Mahua, Tendu, Kasai etc. are found here. Gwalior Fort, Sun Temple, Madhav N.P., Shivpuri Jal Temple (Water Temple), Kedareshwar temple, Palpur Fort, Cave Temple etc. are found here. Means of travelling inside the area is the Petrol Jeep or Car. Entry of Diesel vehicles is prohibited in the Sanctuary. For accommodation Sesaipura, Kuno PWD Rest House, Palpur, PWD Rest House, Vijaypur and Forest Rest House are available. Best season to visit is November to March.

Kheoni Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in 1955. Its total area is 123 sq. km. Cheetal, Sambhar, Blue bull, four horned antelope, wild Boar, Barking Deer, wolf etc. are Principal Faunas found here. Teak, Bija, Saja, Dhawada, Khair, Shisham, Baheda, Bamboo etc. is Principal Floras found here. Ujjain and Nemawar are nearby tourist spots. There is an ancient Shiv temple in the in the forest village Kheoni, in which the ancient idols of the god and goddess have been found. Best season to visit is April to June. Self owned four wheeler vehicles are the means of travelling inside the area.

Son Gharial Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in 1981. Its total area is 209 sq. km. and 200 metres wide strip along whole length of the river, both sides. Here Alligators, Crocodiles, Tortoises are the Principal Fauna. Self-owned four-wheeler Petrol vehicle or Diesel vehicle, which is not older than five years, is the means of travelling inside the area. Forest Rest house, Sidhi is available for accommodation. Sanjay National Park, Sidhi is the nearby tourist spot. Best season to visit is July to March. No vehicle is available in the Sanctuary for the purpose of touring.

Ken Gharial Wildlife Sanctuary

Nearby tourist spots are Khajuraho and National Park, Panna, Rajgarh Fort etc. Circuit House, Khajuraho and other hotels of Khajuraho are available for accommodation. Karera Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in 1981. Its total area is 202 sq. km. The Great Indian Bustard, Padki, Baya, Tithari, Titar, Chital, Black Buck etc. are Principal Faunas which are found here. Nearby tourist spots are Jhansi, Gwalior, Madhav N.P., Shivpuri etc. For accommodation Guest House of the Forest Department, Hotels of M. P. Tourism Development Corporation and other local hotels are available. Means of travelling inside the area is personal Petrol Jeep or Car but Diesel Vehicles is not allowed inside the Sanctuary area. Best season to visit is January to June.

Singhori Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in the year 1976. Its total area is 288 sq. km. Here Tiger, Leopard, Sambhar, Chital, and Wild boar etc. are the Principal Fauna and Teak is the Principal Flora. Four-wheeler petrol vehicle or diesel vehicle, which is not older, than 5 years is the means of travelling inside the area. Forest Rest House, Bhandiv Forest Rest House Bumhori, P. W. D. Rest House, Bari are available for accommodation. Choukigarh Fort Bhandariya Temple and Caves of Jamgarh. On the Occasion of Shivratri fair is organised Bhandariya, Shiv Temple are some nearby tourist spots. Best season to visit is November to February.

Kanha National Park

Kanha National Park is situated at a distance of 165 km from Jabalpur.Kanha national park is one of the finest and best administered National Parks in Asia. Kanha was recently declared The Best Maintained Tourist Friendly National Park for attraction of all wildlife lovers and a true heaven for its animal and avian population.
Bamni Dadar is popularly known as Sunset Point. This is one of the highest plateaux in the tiger reserve and offers an enchanting view of the beauty and vastness of the park.
From this point a spectacular sunset can be watched. Sambar, barking deer, gaur and four-horned antelope can be see from this point. Kanha has some 22 species of mammals, most easily spotted are the Striped Palm Squirrel, Common Languor, Jackal, Wild Pig, Chital or Spotted Deer, Barasingha or Swamp Deer, Sambar and Black Buck. Kanhna also has some 200 species of birds. Elephants are used for tiger tracking .

Satpura National Park

Satpura National Park is situated in 1981. Its total area is 524 Sq. km. Principal Faunas of Panther, Sambhar, Chital, Bhedki, Blue Bull, Four-horned antelope, Chinkra, Bison (Gaur), Wild Boar, Wild Dog, Bear, Black buck, Fox, Porcupine, Flying squirrel, Mouse deer, Indian joint squirrel etc. and various species are found here. Principal Floras of Sal,Teak, Tendu, Aonla, Mahua, Bel, Bamboo etc. are found. Means of travelling inside the area are self owned petrol four wheeler vehicles. For accommodation several private hotels, The Forest Rest House and Guest House of M.P. State Tourism Development Corporation at Pachmarhi are available. Nearby tourist sports are Bision Lodge museum, Jata Shankar, Rajgiri, Jamuna Pratap, Jambu Deep, Chhota Mahadev Asann Khadd, Alann Scene, Sunderkund, Reechhgarh, Dhupgarh, Mahadev, Panarpani Garden and others. Best season to visit is November to June.

Sardarpur Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in the year 1983. Its total area is 348 sq. km. Kharmour is the Principal Fauna and Teak, Palash, Khjda, Gunradi and Grasses are the Principal Flora. Mandu is the nearby tourist spot. Self owned four wheeler vehicles are the means of travelling inside the area. Best season to visit is July to October.

Sanjay National Park

Sanjay National Park is established in 1983-84. Its total area is 1471 Sqkm. Faunas like Tiger, Panther, Sambhar, Blue Bull, Chousingha, Cheetal, Gaur, Bear, and many species of birds are found here. Floras like Sal, Saja, Tendu, Dhawda, Haldu etc. are found here. There is no vehicle available in the park for touring. The visitors may visit the area by means of their own four-wheeler vehicles that are not older than five years. There are in all six-inspection huts in the area, viz.-Kusami, Bhadoura, Paudi, Chool, Devsil, and Kurthi. The National Park is closed in the rainy season. Best season to visit is October to December.

Ghatigaon Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is created in 1981. Its total area is 511 sq. km. The Great Indian Bustard, Black buck, Chital, Monkey, Wolf, Blue bull, Wild boar, Fox, Hyena etc. are found here. Khair, Murjan, Palash, Seja, Dhawada, Royenja, Ghote, Beweg, Dhaman, Salai, Heans, Katli etc. are principal flora. ‘DhuanHanumanTemple’. ‘Dev-cave’, ‘Gupteshwar Temple’ is some nearby religious spot are found here. Gwalior, Sonagiri, Shivpuri, Datia, Jhansi, Chanderi, Orchha etc. are also nearby tourist spots. Vehicles of Tourism Development Corporation are available. Private hotels are available for accommodation. Best season to visit is November to June.

Sailana Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in the year 1983. Its total area is 13 sq. km. Here the bird ‘Kharmour’ is the principal species of the Sanctuary. The Principal Flora here is Grass maily found in the area. Self-Owned or hired four wheeler vehicles is the means of travelling inside the area. Kedarnath, Kedareshwar Temple and cactus garden etc. are nearby some tourist spots. Kedareshwar Temple is the Religious Spot. In the rainy season Kharmour bird comes here for mating. Best season to visit is July to September.

Gandhisagar Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary is established in the year 1974. Its total area is 369 Sq. km. Leopard, Bear, Blue Ball, Chinkra, Wild Boar, Wild dog, Fox, Wild Cat, Jackal and various types of birds are found here. Chaturbhuj, an ancient temple is located inside the sanctuary. The River Chambal and the Gandhi Sagar dam that is on the river are also very good touring spots. The Scenic beauty of the sanctuary area has increased after the construction of the Gandhi Sagar Dam. Means of travelling inside the area is self-owned four wheeler vehicles. Circuit House and a Rest House of the Water Resource Department are available for accommodation. Best season to visit is April to May.

Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in 1976 and the total area is 435 sq. km. Here Leopard, Cheetal, Sambhar, Wild Boar, Tiger, Bear, Blue Bull, and Wild Dog are the Principal Fauna and Khair, Tendu, Sheesham, Teak, Bija, Saja etc. are the Principal Flora. Means of travelling inside the area is four-wheeler petrol vehicle or diesel vehicle. Forest Rest house, Delabadiry is available for accommodation. Some nearby Tourist Spots are Shiv Temple Bhojpur and Rock Painting Bheen Baithika. A fair is organised in Shivling Temple on occasion of Ram Navmi.. Best season to visit is October to April. The government has now permitted the use of the Diesel vehicles, which are not more than five years old.

Fossil National Park

Fossil National Park was established at the year 1983 and is spread at an area of 0.27 sq. km. Fossils of animals and plants of more than thousands year old are found there, which have been preserved in the park in their natural conditions. Inside the park visitors are allowed to travel with four wheeler Petrol vehicle or Diesel vehicles, which are not older than 5 years. The best season to visit the park is throughout the Year.

Rala Mandal Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in the year 1989. Its total area is 5 sq. km. Here Leopard Black Buck, Sambhar, Chital, Blue bull, Jarak, Bhedki (Barking deer) Rabbit etc. are the Principal Fauna and Teak, Saja, Chandan, Eucalyptus, Babul Bamboo etc. are the Principal Flora. Self owned or hired four wheeler vehicles are the means of travelling inside the area. The Forest Rest House in Indore is available for accommodation. A hunting hut was constructed by the people of the Holker State in 1905 on the hillock inside the Sanctuary is now being developed like an information center. The scenic beauty of the hilly area and valleys in the Sanctuary is remarkable, which may be enjoyed merely by walking on the foot, by the visitors. Best season to visit is July to April.

Phen Wildlife Sanctuary

This Sanctuary is established in the year 1983. Its total area is 111 sq. km. Here Tiger, Leopard, Wild boar, Cheetal, Sambhar etc. are the Principal Fauna and Sal, Teak, Saja, Aonla, Tendu, Jamun, Bel, Bamboo etc. the Principal Flora. Kanha National Park, Mandla and Fossil National Park Mandla are some nearby tourist spots. Four wheeler petrol vehicle and diesel vehicles, which are not older, than five year are the means of travelling inside the area. Best season to visit is November to June.
