Introduction:

Chhattisgarh is located in Central India. It is the 26th state of the Indian Union. Earliest human settlements were established in this region much before they came into existence in any other part of the country.Till 19th century, ’Kalchuris’ clearly ruled this region. After the Kalchuris, Bhonsles of Nagpur start to dominate this region for a brief period in the 19th century. Ultimately British recognized the place as a mineral wealth of the region. There are many tourist spots found in the state. The scenic beauty of the hilly area, forests, ancient temples, historical ruins, streaming rivers and many more tourist destinations attract tourists to Chhattisgarh. Dance and music of this state have very close relation to its tribal heritage and culture. The state have got valuable Ethnic culture majority of the population in Chhattisgarh comprises of the local tribal groups. As the region was extremely inaccessible, not much interference could be made in the lifestyle of the tribes.

Air: The only airport of the state is Raipur. Regular flights Connect Delhi with rest of India.

Rail: The state is well connected with Indian railway network almost all parts of the state and country. Raipur and Bilaspur are the major railway stations.

Road: National Highways and state highways connect all the major cities of the state to other parts in the country.
