Jodhpur From Mehrangarh
Introduction:

Umaid Bhawan Palace: The palace build in 20th century under the famine relief project. The palace was completed in 16 years. This opulent edifice in sandstone is still the residence of the former rulers with a part of it running as a hotel and remaining part as museum.

Jaswant Thada
Jaswant Thada: It is the memorial of Maharaj Jaswant Singh II, which was built in 1899 A.D. with white marvel. It is a very beautiful peace of architecture. Within the main cenotaph are the portraits of various Jodhpur rulers.
Mehrangarh Fort: The majestic fort was built in 15th century AD. The 5 km long fort on a 125-meter high hill is one of the most impressive and formidable structures.
Government Museum: This museum is enriched with collection of weapons, textiles, local crafts and images of Jain Thirthankar. It is situated in the middle Umed Public garden.

Balsamand Lake and Gardens: Balsamand Lake and Gardens is situated 5 km from Jodhpur. A pretty lake built in 1159 A.D. A splendid Summer Palace stands by the lake side surrounded by beautiful gardens. An idyllic spot for excursions.

Mahamandir Temple
Mandore: Mandore is situated 8 km. of Jodhpur. The ancient capital of Marwar has cenotaphs of the Jodhpur rulers. The hall of Heroes has 15 figures curved out of the rock on the wall. Its beautiful gardens with high rock terraces make it a popular picnic spot.
