Sikar is situated 110 km from Jaipur in Rajasthan. Founded in the late 17th century A.D. Sikar was the largest thikana (feudel state) under Jaipur. The town was modeled to resemble the city plan of Jaipur. The walled city has lofty buildings, a massive fort and an array of splendid havelis and temple ornate with beautiful frescoes. Lachhmangarh, Temple of Gopinath, Raghunath and Modan Mohan, Madho Niwas, Biwani Haveli, Sodhani Haveli, Harsh Nath Temple, Jeen Mata Temple, Khatu Shyamji, Sakambhari and Lohayat are the main places of interest.
