Nowadays Mandarmani sea beach is very popular tourists spot lies close to Digha and Shankarpur. It is one of the most developed tourist attractions of West Bengal. It is located in the Purba Medinipur district of South Bengal. Mandarmani beach is the longest drivable beach in India. Mandarmani has 13 km long motorable beach. Red crabs crawling around the long and wide beach is a special attraction of Mandarmani. Mandarmani is less crowded, a bit expensive, but you can enjoy the beach than any other beach of West Bengal. The serene atmosphere and the sunset at Mandarmani attracts tourist all round the year.You can enjoy lots of water sport activities like jet skiing, surfing, banana boat rides, beach activities like biking, parachuting, have a bath in the sea, do some shopping at the beach shop with your friends and family. On the beach, there is no electricity. After evening only sources of light are from generators or batteries.The beauty of Mandarmani is increased in the moon light specially the time of full moon. After the evening you can ask for arrange the bonfires at the beach side.

Be careful while driving on the beach. Towards the end of the beach, the sands are soft in places and your car may get stuck in it. Avoid driving on the beach after dark as if you get stuck in the sand dunes, you may not be able to get any local help to pull your vehicle out. Geomorphologically, this area has relatively low waves than Digha. At the end of the beach, there is the ‘mohana’ or river delta. On one side of the river there are dense jhau trees and the other side is the fishing village. Try to avoid this place after dark, you will not find any people for any help. How To Go Mandarmani:

Air:  Nearest airport is kolkata 180 km from Digha.

Rail:  The cheapest way to reach Digha from Kolkata is to take the Duronto express from Howrah. From Digha you’ll get cars. A drive through the beach will take you to your beach resort.

Road:  Many route buses and private cars available from Mecheda,Kharagpur,Howrah & Kolkata.

Best Time To Visit In Mandarmani:

Rainy season and Winter is the best time to visit Mandarmani,  but you can come here anytime of the year.
