Gundla Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary is located at Kurnool and Prakasam districts. Its total area is 1194 sq km. Mixed deciduous forests of Teak, Pterocarpuss, Terminalia. Albizzia, Anogeissius, Dalbergia, Boswellia, Shisham, Andug and Bamboo. The Gundlabrahmeswaram plateau runs South-North of the Nallamalai hill range and a perennial river, Gundlakamma crisis crosses through the sanctuary. Animals found are Tiger, Panther, Sloth bear, and Wild dog, Hyena. Jungle cat, Langur, Bonnet monkey, Pangolin, Sambar, Nilgai, Chowsingha, Chinkara, Mouse deer, Monitor lizard, Python and Marsh crocodile. Accommodation is available in the Inspection Bungalow at Nandyal and Forest rest house at Diguvametta. Best season to visit October to May.

Rail: 100 km from Kurnool railway station or 30 km from Nandyal railway station.
